Samrai & Platt - Bad Riddim

Where to start with this?  Well firstly, get listening to this track, it's more than grime, more than dub, more than bass music, it's grime and and one-step done very well; intense, brooding and dance-floor ready.  Truants describe SWINGTING002 as 'two tracks of some of the finest party-ready grime flavoured music you’ll hear this year.'
Samrai and Platt
Samrai and Platt are part of Manchester's Swing Ting crew, releasing on Truants; a blog, come record label, come gospel to the underground hip-hop and dance scene since 2010, a heavy dub-step year notably.  Check it out and see for yourself here------------> TRUANTS BLOG

Bristolian Woz is a generous guy, he's offering up this dark little collab with London's mysterious Chubba for free - just sign up at black butter.

Belt and Weezol are Dutch duo Bart Riem and Sam van Wees, anti-hip DJ and producers who take the piss out of boiler room sessions on their podcast and have a light-hearted view of dance music.  Their simple aim? To get dance floors heaving.  Sampling the classic CeCe Peniston vocal and adding a rather tasty deep, groove, Finally is unashamedly party focused, and where better to release it than, label of the moment, Spinnin' Records. Home of all things  #EDM #huge #solid #bootybounce, this will surely have smiles on faces on the dance floor.

Thinking about Spinnin' Records, the label is both overground and underground, doing things massively and quietly at the same time - for every Tujamo (who has a brilliantly simple video concept), there is absolute beauty - Ghosts by Nottingham producer, Higher Self ft. the gorgeous vocals of Lauren Mason is one of my records of the year.  It's a belter that deserves a lot more airplay than it has.  Out now itunes/beatport etc.
